The Creative Society delivered in-work progression programme, Step Up, for three years. The programme culminated in mentoring for 18-30 year olds who were stuck in cycles of low pay. The Creative Society worked with individuals to improve their confidence, knowledge of the creative industries and helping to widen their creative networks.

Step Up was funded by the Walcot Foundation and Trust for London from 2016 - 2018 and helped young people into better jobs in the creative sector throughout this period. This included helping people into new positions, supporting people to negotiate better hours or improved contracts as well as helping artists to establish themselves as creative freelancers.

The Creative Society continues to run a mentoring programme in Lambeth and is actively seeking to recruit new people for the scheme. Find details of how to get involved here
