We are delighted to announce that we have taken up a new residency at Frieze London in 2019 as part of our 10 Year Anniversary re-brand. Working with such a prestigious partner allows us to incubate our ideas from within an institution that shares our vision and with whom we can develop our strategic aims. Frieze has supported us since 2017, attending Creative Job Studio drop-ins, supporting our work with schools in Dagenham and recruiting young people through our networks. We are looking forward to delivering our work from within this space, welcoming our young people into our new home and sharing our passion for change with Frieze.

We began our life as New Deal of the Mind in 2009 and as ‘Thinker-in Residence’ at Southbank Centre. We then crossed the river to Somerset House where we were part of the resident community for eight years, and from where we launched many projects including the Creative Job Studio.

Frieze is determined to be a positive force for change within the art world, whether working with young galleries and emerging artists or collaborating with charities. Their commitment to strengthening their partnership with Creative Society reflects this determination, and we are thrilled to be in residence, in arguably one of the most exciting venues in London – 180 The Strand.

“Originally home to a stuffy accounting firm, 180 The Strand now hosts London Fashion Week and loads cooler-than-you creative companies, the most exciting of which is arguably The Vinyl Factory. Its amazing AV shows have reinvigorated London’s appetite for exhibitions. From exhibits by Kanye West and Beyoncé collaborators to free video art exhibition ‘The Infinite Mix’, this is where pop culture and art intersect thrillingly in London.”Time Out
