Work and Pension Secretary James Purnell was present alongside Culture Secretary Andy Burnham at the New Deal of the Mind launch at Number 11 Downing Street, so we know we can rely on his support.
As Burnham said at the launch, as a former Culture Secretary himself Purnell is “very well placed to understand how this moment can be a moment when we allow creativity to flourish”. Let’s hope so.
