New Deal of the Mind has become The Creative Society
Since founder and CEO Martin Bright wrote the article that kick-started our work, the concept of a New Deal of the Mind has provided a mutually rewarding service in which creative organisations and businesses have directly benefitted from the creation of over 1000 sustainable jobs for young people.
As our work has evolved however, we’ve had to evolve with it, and now need a new way to better reflect the positive outcomes that we as New Deal of the Mind have helped to shape.
We are therefore evolving our brand to become known as The Creative Society with a mission to build and support the creative economy.

And, not even included in the figures, are almost 800,000 16 to 24 year olds who are not looking for work and not in education or training (so-called Neets). They do not appear in the official unemployment figures because they are not looking for work. (more…)

Our London Future Jobs Fund programme received a very positive final assessment from the Department for Work and Pensions. Their report concluded that NDotM had “put a lot of effort into creating and filling jobs for the Future Jobs Fund.” They added that our management systems were “very robust” and after a site visit to us concluded that “the employees had gained a vast amount of experience in the working environment and this will help prepare them for future employment.”
Our own exit questionnaires confirm that those on the programme considered it to have been a resounding success. (more…)
